So if anyone ever reads this, which I doubt, I think you'll see a pattern of too many carbs. I have to say that in the final stretch of the hard core, no meat, liver cleansing 4 weeks it's gotten worse. But I've stuck to the principals of the cleanse so I'm not berating myself. Monday I get to eat chicken and eggs again. This makes me very happy. Also, I got on the scale today and was 2 lbs lighter! So hopefully this means my liver is working better. I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to have to keep up many portions of this WOL to keep my liver happy. But it hasn't been too bad. I'm contemplating going on the Standard Process cleanse on Monday. I need to take a look at the directions and see if I can move over to it if it has the same general principals as the liver cleanse. I'll keep you informed.
Water
BK: pear
Lunch: nothing
Snack: 1 apple w almonds
Dinner: too much sushi! 3 rolls of spicy tuna I was SO full. But I had a breakthrough with the sushi rice. I added rice vinegar to the rice and it was perfect!
Dessert: also made an entire carton of chocolate covered strawberries and then ate them all. Chocolate was 99% dark no sugar added. I melted it w/ stevia. Yum! Note to anyone though, agave does not heat well w/ chocolate...

Day 38: TOM arrived - ick.
Workout really hard today. Light cardio. No meat cleanse is kicking my cardio to the curb. Showered after and hello Aunt Flow. Finally!
Water - not this morning!
BK: none
Lunch: large salad w/ apples & walnuts & a Primevil Bar which is a whole wheat scone like thing w/ raisins. Very little sugar though. Also 2 servings of the dark chocolate I made w/ the nuts and raisins.
Dinner: San Sai. Okay so I am eating at this place WAY too much. I am trying not to eat out and was doing so well until I hit this 4 weeks of the cleanse. It is SO hard to pre-plan fish meals. Also hard to re-heat them. Sushi is my only option I feel. San Sai rocks though. 3 skewers of grilled shrimp (15 shrimp) and 1 brown rice spicy tuna roll all for $17. More than I want to spend, but not bad for how much fresh, healthy, fish protein.
Dessert: apple and pear w/ walnuts and about 3 tbs of honey. The sweet tooth! I'm still hungry too. Not eating, but really want to.
Okay off to bed. Cramps are really bad. A bit headache too. Most of my water today was had at home tonight. Cleaned my Camelback and now it's tasty again. It was SO gross. Like black slime...eeew. So I should be able to track my water better. When I fill that thing up and finish it I know I've had enough.

Day 37: Being so darn good
I"m working out w/ my trainer tomorrow so I had a few more carbs to make sure I had enough energy. But veggie intake was good as well as water.
Water
BK: shark & a pan fried potato w. ketchup. Had to have something with my homeade ketchup!
Snack: walnuts w/ honey, apple, pear
Lunch: salad w/ dressing (late bk so light lunch)
snack: energy chocolate
Dinner: late this evening so kept it light, but wanted to make sure I had plenty of carbs. Rice tortilla baked and cut into chips, tahini, 5 grape leaves, steamed broccoli
Dessert: 1 small chunk of chocolate w/ nuts and raisins.
TOM still not here...very late at this point...

Day 36: Cooking Like Crazy!
So with the first rain in LA for a long time I got the bug to cook. I made 4 YES 4 new things tonight. 2 of them I can't eat and were for Nils who said they were good, even if I failed and making them look good. 2 of them were for me, and they were good! So Veggie patties...blew. They didn't hold together. Deviled eggs. Nils said are yummy. I made another batch of chocolate w/ almonds and raisins. And I made shark. I won't eat it until tomorrow, but it's made.
Water
BK: sushi w/ avocado and brown rice. You just can't go wrong with that!
Snack: Apple
Lunch: Melon w/ honey, muesli, and pecans
Snack: 2 Dolmas, 1 apple
Dinner: Butternut squash casserole w/ honey & pecans. 1 big salad w/ dolmas olive oil and balsamic.

Day 35: Another Cheat!

Okay so my weakness is for free or wasted food. My friend came over today from Starbucks w/ a Grande Green Tea Frap. This is one of my favorites. She had an extra one because they made hers wrong and then let her keep it. So she brought it to me. She put it in my freezer. I took it out, had 3 wonderful sips (yes sips!) of the now to me overly sweet drink and stuck it back in.
So, I feel good that I didn't drink the entire thing. I also feel good that it tasted too sweet. What I don't feel good about it giving in and drinking any of it at all. It has sugar, dairy, and sugar. Unlike the cupcake it didn't make me sick so hopefully it was only a tiny bit of extra work for my poor liver. *sigh* But unlike the cupcake I'm sure it was filled with chemicals.
In penance I came home and made my sugar free ketchup. It's always SO yummy.
I had a TON of protein today and for once didn't crave anything. I think the cravings have been due to lack of protein. Tomorrow starts my last week of the 4 week section of no protein and boy and I glad!
Water
BK: did I eat something? I totally can't remember!
Lunch: Spicy sushi roll w/ brown rice, 3 skewers of grilled shrimp w. sauce that I told them to leave off! Aaarg. Still good, but didn't need to Teryaki since I'm allergic to soy AND it has sugar in it.
Snack: Evil starbucks sips
Dinner: leftover pasta w/ 3 leftover crab leg meat. Mmmm!
Dessert: 1 apple w/ honey (not unfiltered I'm out!) muesli, and pecans. Tasty!
So more food than usual today, but I wasn't hungry and it all tasted good w/ zero cravings.
