Day 34: Eating well and doing well

Still no TOM. Very late. I am going to chalk it up to the cleanse and not freak out - yet. I ate well and worked hard today. It was a good day. I'm nearly done the 5th week and I have to say that the no meat thing is wearing thin fast. I'm hungry a lot and heartily sick of salad, nuts, and veggies. They are all still tasty, but I'd kill for a hamburger! This may be the longest I've EVER gone without meat, let along beef.

Water
BK: Ahh nothing. Running out door.
Lunch: 1 sweet potato I grabbed from fridge in AM.
Snack: handful of almonds, some pecans, 1 energy chocolate, some dried apples
Snack: after seeing the awesome ZombieLand. Usual salad my man made for me!
Dinner: udon noodles w/ red sauce that I spruced up w/ mini squash, tomato chunks, carrots, and spice. Leftover for another day!
Dessert: what else? Honey, pecans, and an apple.

Day 33: Hunger is not my friend, but Dolmas are!

Busy day today which is always good. AND I even had time to eat food. :) I did cheat. I've wanted to forever. I've been crazing something that isn't what I'm eating. So I was over in the land of Dot's Cupcakes which I'm only ever at 4 times a year. So I caved and bought a mini carrot cupcake for myself. Do I feel guilty? Nope. Did I feel a little sick afterwards? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes?

Water
BK: carrot, 1/2 avocado, wheat pita w/ radish sprouts (didn't make me feel ill BTW)

Snack: (I cheated!) Dots cupcake. SO bad...and so good. Almonds for protein w/ the sugar. It was carrot at least...

Lunch: Henry's is open! Yeah!!! All hail it! Sushi w/ brown rice and dolmas while
watching Whip It with my friend. Good movie BTW.

Dinner: Crab legs (sooo goood), walnuts & dried apple,

Day 32: Too much Soba!

Ate too much Soba. Came home SO SUPER hungry (can you see a pattern?!) and atea big bowl of Soba. Feel ill now. My stomach is too full and it feels hard. Never had this before...could it be the Wheat? Say it ain't so! Wheat....

Good day otherwise. I'm at the point that I want MEAT. I can't eat soy, and there is only so much fish a girl can make and travel with. Chicken oh how I miss thee.

Slept in to 10am which I needed with my late night, but it always makes me fee weird and throws off my day.

Water
BK: Juice
Lunch: almonds and an energy chocolate
Dinner: salad w/ apple. rest of apple w/ honey and pecans. two rows of Soba noodles w/ olive oil and salt.

Day 31: Posting Thurs morning....

So I'm posting Thurs morning because much fun was had last night at Knotts Scary Farm. The best part though was standing in line with a dad and his 5 year old. The kid was scared outta her mind, but her dad just kept telling everyone she loved being scared. Hilarious!

I did really good with the cleanse considering that this even was a long day with all kinds of goodies around. I am right before my TOM. AND I've been crazing sweets and bread. I actually had to force myself not to buy a cupcake today. No kidding. It's been tough.

Workout went well. I didn't have to do any cardio and that helped. I'm sore everywhere though. Go my trainer!

Water
BK: 1/2 cantaloupe, 1 nectarine, pecans, honey on pecans
Lunch: STARVING! 2 whole wheat pita, 5 dolmas (so good I love you TJ!), 3 tbs tahini, 2 carrots, 1 sliver of tomato, olive oil, salt. Water - lots of it.

I felt kinda bloated after lunch. I don't know if it was the water or all the food...

Dinner: Found the awesome fish place by Knotts. It took some searching but it was awesome. California Grilled Fish Cafe. The good. Stuck mostly to plan. The bad. Ate white rice and a white flour tortilla. I had 1 Mahi Mahi grilled taco on corn tortilla w/ cabbage no cream sauce and 1 grilled shrimp burrito w. purple cabbage, carrot, white cilantro rice, and no cream sauce.

Once again I felt really bloated. Also this AM I went to the bathroom A LOT.

Eating breakfast while I post this. Same as yesterday's lunch sans the pita and tomato. So we'll see how I feel later....

Day 30: It's hear! 1 MONTH DOWN...one to go...

Still moody and icky. Super headache hit me tonight too. Going to be early. I workout tomorrow and then go to Knott's Scary Farm. Want to make sure I'm feeling better for that. Still no bleeding, but it's gotta be coming with how I'm feeling. Energy levels are good though. Not tired. Just icky feeling.

Water
BK: Fruit Salad
Snack: honey, apple, plum, nuts
Lunch: Salad (yep got lettuce!) the usual one. Sushi in a bowl w/ brown rice and avocado. I am getting good at making this!
Snack: Almonds
Dinner: Got home late but was hungry. Had shrimp (lots of them) w/ broccoli in a TJ green curry sauce. Sauce had cane sugar so tried to not eat any of the sauce. Just used it for flavoring...it was good!

Off to bed... OH! BTW. The big wigs at Southwest refused to help. Then they fed up my cancellation of the tickets! I had to call 4 times! And they won't give me back my money - only "credit" Bastards. I don't want to fly your air anymore mother fers. I requested to speak to a supervisor about this. They said someone would call me by 5pm...9:47pm and no phone call. I'm writing a letter. It may help. All I know is that a few years back the CEO of Southwest said something like, "We can't make everyone happy so we aren't going to try. Losing a few customers doesn't really matter if they are customers who give us trouble anyway." Well while that's all well and good I've been a good, loyal, problem free, customer for many years now and they just shafted me. The main issue is that they didn't even offer to help in another way. They just said - sorry. F-off. Which essentially isn't a real apology at all. They are unwilling to accept that they did something wrong. Pisses me off!

Day 29: Moody Monday

So I have a great battle with Southwest Airlines over a ticket they TOTALLY bungled and then don't want to fix. Long - really long - story short. I called in to change a ticket. They changed it to the wrong day. They then discovered the error, but since it's holiday travel they said, "Sorry we can't help you." So I am going on strike. I did this to Continental Airlines in the 90's and I STILL haven't flown them. Priceline here I come...

Anyway, I've been feeling icky this week. Headachey, stomach burbly, sore. If this is cleansing then good. If not, WTF? I am really close to TOM...

Water
BK: skipped. felt icky
Lunch: Big salad w/ apples and nectarine
Snack: The rest of my homemade chocolate. Craving SUGAR!!!!
Snack: frozen grapes
Dinner: Brown rice w/ sashimi, avacado, and nori paper. Yum!

Overall still not enough veggies. I think I'm eating a lot of them, but then it comes to the end of my day and I'm like WHAT?! I ran out of lettuce today. Box comes on Wed. I may have to pick up a head of lettuce tomorrow anyway. I need to work on a salad w/ every meal...

Day 28: Lots of work day

I worked a bunch today which didn't allow for perfect meal times. I didn't eat poorly, just irregularly. This of course led to more carb loading at the end of the day than expected.

Water
BK: Carrot, veggie juice
Lunch: handful of almonds some salad
Dinner: Muesli in oat milk. Walnuts, honey, and apple. 2 whole wheat pita w/ olive oil and salt. Nori paper

Day 27: Game Day & Liver Joy

Worked. Ran an errand for my mom. Then I was off to Long Beach for some awesome board game playing! Luckily for me my lovely hostess makes sure to have liver cleanse friendly snacks for me so even though we played from 3:30pm-10pm all the food was kosher.

Water
BK: Made a juice but didn't drink it.
Lunch: Udon noodles. I think they are made with white wheat flour? The ingredients say "wheat" but they are white. Will try to stay away, but wanted to give them a try. Broccoli and some noodles.
Snack: Juice w/ veggies, fruit, and brown rice syrup. Yummy!
Snack: 2 brown rice cakes w/ almond butter. Apples and almond butter
Dinner: cabbage, broccoli, zucchini, potato stir fry over those noodles
Dessert: some of my homemade chocolate.
